Brandon Sandefur is the new face and the new sound of traditional country music. His first single on UndergroundCountry, ‘Now You’re Tonkin’ first showcased on CDX 231, is gaining plays around the country from coast to coast. The album ‘Walking Backwards’ following on June 13th in stores nationwide.

Brandon’s sound is deeply rooted in the country music of his home state Texas. Raised on a diet of Waylon, Willie, Merle Haggard, George Strait and Gary Stewart, Brandon and his band Roughcut have gracefully combined the legacy of those greats with a contemporary cutting edge - country with attitude.

Brandon graduated from Sam Houston State University, where he served as an All Southland Conference Linebacker on a full scholarship. He’s been performing on the live circuit from Texas to Nashville ever since.

‘Walking Backwards’ features ten songs, eight of which have been written or co-written by Sandefur. The material ranges from up beat classic honky tonk with ‘Now You’re Tonkin’ to lush ballads like ‘Marguerita’ and title cut ‘Walking Backwards’ to hard rocking contemporary country on ‘Driven’ and ‘Right Between The Lies’.
